GALEANA, Nuevo León — Iberdrola Mexico, SA de CV (Mexico City) plans to construct a new USD$100 million Solar Photovoltaic (PV) power station in the municipality of Galeana in the northern state of Nuevo Leon.
Iberdrola México, S.A. de C.V. is a country head of business company of the IBERDROLA Group in Mexico, a global energy company and the world leader in wind power with operation in the United Kingdom, USA, Brazil, Spain and México.
Iberdrola México operates through two leading companies: Iberdrola Generación México, S.A. de C.V. and Iberdrola Renovables México, S.A. de C.V. and its main responsibility is the definition and implementation of the strategy for the Iberdrola Mexico Group.
These two leading companies have their own Board of Directors and have the responsibility and capacity to take their own decisions concerning its operations, ensuring an adequate separation in the management of businesses.
The new solar power station will be located about 64KM northwest of the city of Galeana in the state of Nuevo León.
The total estimated value (TIV) of this investment is roughly $100 million USD.
The station will be able to produce a huge number of megawatts and gigawatt-hours of electricity annually, to service a large number of homes in the state of Nuevo León.
