Other investments will include the construction of Universo Maya theme park in front of the Maya Museum in Cancun and a new business center in Cancun’s centro area.

The announcement came after the country’s participation in the recent World Travel Market that took place in London, UK earlier in November. López Reyes says that the participation of Cancun in the London fair is one of the most important, allowing concrete decisions for 2017 as well as promoting Cancun as a destination.

They are anticipating more than 150,000 UK visitors during the upcoming tourist season, placing the United Kingdom as one of the top markets for Cancun.
