CHICXULUB PUERTO — A Canadian resident apparently murdered his compatriot after an argument and fights inside a 19th street house in the heart of Chicxulub Puerto.

Apparently after a Sunday afternoon of drinking at a house on 19th Street, between 36 and 38, three Canadians began to argue and the words went to blows. According to Diario de Yucatán, one of the men, named Roger, armed himself with a kitchen knife and went against his rival in the dispute and gave him several blows with the weapon.

Then, he left the house and went to a nearby shop where he told the clerk hehad just attacked a friend of his and feared that he had killed him.

The Municipal Police detained the other two involved, and transferred them to the State Attorney General’s facilities at the municipal seat. The property was already protected by elements of the Ministry of Public Security and staff of the Office of the Prosecutor. The events occurred minutes after 10 a.m.

The three involved are residents of Chicxulub. It was discovered that the deceased was named Brian.
