It is one of the most ambitious projects ever presented for the island.
COZUMEL — The hotel sector is one of the most attractive in the state of Quintana Roo, where an endless amount of investors are interested in the Mexican Caribbean, due to the great economic spill that this place generates.
One of the most ambitious projects is Isla Pasión, a development with luxury hotel and residential area of high category, which will be located in Cozumel.
According to information from Sordo Madaleno, the architectural firm in charge of the project, the main concept of the place is based on Mayan elements which are emblematic in the region, such as: pyramids, cenotes, the Mayan calendar and traditional houses of the culture.
This project consists of suites, stilt houses, spa, common areas, residential areas and services. It will be distributed throughout the island, with the best views and pleasant walks around the place.
The project is designed with an organic architecture, integrated to the context and with low impact for the environment, using local and regulated materials such as stones and regional woods.
Mayan stilt houses will be the first in all Latin America to exist; due to the reinterpretation of the traditional dwelling of that culture, the design will refer to the texture, organic lines and natural ventilation.
Structure of the construction
The construction is designed with three bodies that allow you to admire the structure of the building. The complex seeks an image of simplicity, avoiding architectural protagonism but at the same time achieving the maximum comfort that can attract all the public.
Although the date on which the project will begin and the cost is still unknown, it is expected to be a great success.
