Detained Playmates were “the attraction” at the Friday June 30 event at Hacienda Chichi Suárez.

MERIDA — On Sunday morning July 2, Playboy magazine ‘bunnies’ were released from the Merida Station of the National Institute of Migration (INM) after being detained for more than 24 hours because they did not have their documents in order. The federal authority gave them 20 days to leave the country.

According to sources inside the INM, six foreign women and one man from countries such as Turkey, Argentina, Colombia, France, Venezuela and the United States were detained on Friday night at the “Playboy Music Fest” party, at the Hacienda Chichi Suaréz.

As has been reported, immigration agents carried out a raid at that event, to verify that foreigners entered the country legally, but when they found that they did not have their papers in order, they were arrested.

The Playmates presented tourist visas, and lacked permission to work in Mexico, so they had to be transferred to the Migration Station in Mérida to resolve their legal situation.

However, the delegation of the INM in Yucatan gave them this Sunday an order of Exit of the Country, so they have 20 days to solve their personal affaris and to leave Mexico.

Failure to do so during that time will result in immediate deportation. They were also barred from working in the country in that period, so that they cannot participate in Playboy programs in other states.

Among the seven foreigners arrested on the night of Friday June 30 by the National Institute of Migration (INM) in Merida, are two international Playboy stars who have been “cover models”: The Turkish Elif Celik, and the French Marie Brethenoux.

The arrested Playmates were among more than 100 bunnies who were “the attraction” in the event of Friday 30 of June that was realized in the Hacienda Chichi Suárez to the east of the city, but they were stopped by the migratory agents for not having their documentation in order.

Elif Celik is an international Playmate who has even been featured in Playboy magazine in Mexico, while Marie Brethenoux was the cover model in Portugal last March.
