CANCÚN — For the crimes of import and distribution of cocaine, police arrested Ignacio “N”, and officials of the Criminal Investigation Agency and the Federal Police completed the provisional transferred him to Mexico City with purposes of extradition, according to a press release.
The Attorney General’s Office (PGR), informs that this person faces charges in the Federal Court of the Southern District of
Florida in the United States. Federal agents located him in Cancun.
Ignacio “N” has a blue notification, published by the General Secretariat of Interpol, at the request of the Central Office of the international organization in Mexico, which alerts the international network of criminal police in the 190 member countries to obtain information, locate, and identify a person who is wanted in a police investigation.
The US authorities point to this individual as the likely coordinator of drug trafficking to the U.S. and Europe, through the Cancun International Airport.
The subject was transferred to Mexico City to be made available to the Second District Federal Court of Criminal Proceedings with headquarters in the Northern Reclusorio, in response to the request for extradition.
