MERIDA — According to the delegate of the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) in Yucatan, Juan Manuel León Leon, the marijuana is the most common drug that is seized during operations carried out by different authorities in the state.
In fact, he said, so far this year they have seized 500 kilograms of that narcotic. “If we have found other narcotics, but in smaller quantities, we can even say that in grams,” he added.

He said that due to coordinated work of different agencies, such as the Ministry of Public Security (SSP), Federal and Ministerial police, in recent months they managed to secure drugs at the international airport of Merida, warehouses and road points of revision.
In these actions, Leon León emphasized, they seized mainly marijuana.
