Earthquake donation centers in Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Chetumal

CANCUN — Donation Centers have been installed throughout the state of Quintana Roo to collect canned foods, clothing, bottled water, bathroom tissue and other items in order to help the victims of  the Sept. 19 earthquake that shook Mexico City, Morelos, Puebla and the State of Mexico:

Cancun

Novedades Quintana Roo newspaper is accepting food and hygiene items at their facilities in Cancun, located on 37 Pecari Street, Tulum Avenue, Supermanzana 20, in a schedule of 9 to 2 and 4 to 6, until 22 September.

According to an official release, Cancun’s municipal president of Benito Juárez, Remberto Estrada, reported that the municipal dome will host a donation center from 9 am to 5 pm.

Centers are also set up at the Park of the Palapas and also at the Fire Station, located on Tulum Avenue, Supermanzana 23, block 55, open 24 hours, this site is also receiving dog food, medicines and latex gloves.

At the Red Cross Cancun delegation, donations are received from 8 am to 8 pm.

The Secretary of Education of Quintana Roo, North zone offices, on Bonampak Avenue, has opened a collection center, inviting all school principals, teachers, students and parents to join the aid.

The Federal Police facilities, on the corner of Chichen Itza Avenue with Tulum Avenue.

Anahuac University will recieve donations from 20 to 29 September, from 9 to 8 pm.

Chetumal

Calderitas, kilometer 2, colonia Adolfo López Mateos.

Fire Department, located on Avenue De los Insurgentes with Constituyentes, active 24 hours.

The Federal Police facilities, located in the highway Chetumal-Huay Pix, Colonia Zona Industrial.

IMSS Delegation; in Cancún, General Regional Hospital No. 17

Playa del Carmen

Red Cross Playa del Carmen will be open from 8 to 5 located on Chemuyil Avenue, Villamar subdivision.

Donation Center located on Luis Donaldo Colosio Avenue between 10 and 5 streets.

DIF Solidaridad, from 9 to 17 hours, Calle 8 between avenues 30 and 40.

The Lions Club Riviera Maya installed donation centers from the 20th through the 23rd, in the Canaco facility located on avenue 50 between 22 and 24: and Café Tatiaxca on CTM Avenue between 115 and 125. The hours are from 9 to 21 hours.

Cozumel

The island’s Red Cross operates as a donation center from 11 am to 7 pm, located on 65th Avenue.

The Uqroo Campus Cozumel is available from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and its address is 11 Avenue by Miguel Borge Avenue.

IMSS clinic in Cozumel, at 11 Avenida 30 Avenue, is open for donations from 8 to 8 pm.

Canaco, will operate from 10 to 3 pm.

Tulum

In this municipality a donation center was installed on Avenida Tulum, by the Municipal Palace.
