The concert will be on February 3rd, and tickets are available starting October 24th….
MERIDA — The next February 3 will be when the artistic career of Armando Manzanero, in his native Yucatan, is celebrated, with the majestic Chichén Itzá in the background.
According to a statement sent by the Mexico agency, the international recognition and musical legacy that he has created throughout his life are the key elements for Armando Manzanero to be honored in the archaeological zone next year.
Chichén Itzá will be the stage where world-class artists celebrate alongside Manzanero his almost 70 years of musical trajectory.
Lila Downs, Natalia Lafourcade, Alex Lora, Tania Libertad, Juan Pablo Manzanero and the Orquestra Típica de Yucalpetén are some of the artists who will accompany the composer to more than 400 songs, many of them performed by internationally recognized artists such as Tony Bennette and Andrea Bocelli.
It should be noted that the Yucatecan composer sang in 2008 in that same historical site, next to Plácido Domingo, however the February show will be the first one in which the artist is the main figure.
Tickets are available at Ticketmaster from this October 24 as a pre-order and from Oct. 27 in general.
