MERIDA — New technologies in building materials provide savings in the installation and maintenance of spaces, said Marco Correa Ponce, director of Marcotrade, a company specialized in the supply of materials for public spaces in a presentation of new products.
In an event held at Merida’s Los Aluxes Hotel, the advantages were discovered in construction using Ecocreto, of entirely national production, which due to the porosity allows the natural filtration of the rainwater without the placement of sewers, he indicated.

At the meeting attended by municipal officials, engineers and architects from various companies presented the advantages of building with Ecocreto, which provides a cooler environment, a highly permeable material that significantly reduces the sound of vehicular traffic, in addition to which it may have finishes in any color.
The event also featured the Terza products, specialists in laminates, hardwood floors, carpets and blinds, among others; this firm showed a new product made with 60% bamboo and 40% PVC, which gives greater resistance to sun rays and prevents termites.
Also presented were products of the Green Smart brand, dedicated to the creation of vertical walls with artificial foliage, vertical gardens and artificial trees, among which are ficus, laurel, palo de Brazil and eucalyptus, among others.
The company Marcotrade is 100% Yucatecan dedicated to the design and supply of high quality products for public spaces. It covers the states of Yucatan, Quintana Roo and Campeche.
The company Multiseñal is a Mexican company dedicated to the design and manufacture of road signs and accessories, which incorporates the use of solar energy applied to road products.
