MERIDA — Reports from the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) show that the cost per kilo in Merida has been increasing in recent weeks and by Tuesday October 24, it was quoted at more than 18 pesos.

The Mexican Association of Petrol Engines A.C. (Amegas) reported that the price of the kilo of LP in December 2016 was 13.64 pesos for Merida, now the price of three gas stations showed that it was sold at more than 18 pesos, which means that from January to October the cost of a tank of 20 kilos went from $272.80 to $360.00 pesos, an increase of $87.20 pesos, or an average monthly increase of almost nine pesos.

According to reports from the Energy Regulatory Commission, in January 2017, when the price of this input was released the average cost in the city was $16.57 pesos per kilo.

According to reports from CRE, which issues at least two each month, since last January (has not made public the last of September or the first of October), this year the cost of that input has averaged prices of $16 pesos per kilo.

The tariff indicates that those who performed the recharge of the gas cylinders this week noticed more the increase in the price, which increased according to the capacity of the tank.
