CANCÚN — The attacks that were recorded Sunday night Oct. 1 in different parts of the city were originated by members of the New Generation Jalisco Cartel (CJNG), who in one of the attacks succeeded in eliminating one of their rivals, according to preliminary investigations of the Ministerial Police.
Police intelligence indicates that the criminal group that deprived a father of life and injured two people this past weekend, is the same that attacked the commander of the Ministerial Police, his romantic partner and his nephew three weeks ago in the Gran Plaza Mall.
The judicial authorities reported that it was the same group that carried out this execution and other attacks in different areas of the city.
The first execution was recorded around 21:10 hours on 155th Street, in front of lot 19, block 49, of Region 103, where the shooting victim was identified as Carlos Dionisio, 37 years old, domiciled in the estate Ixtla.
A second victim was identified as his romantic partner, S.J.P.D., 36 years old. The body of this person was on the motorcycle he was driving and presented approximately seven bullet wounds. Investigators found 12 9 mm shell casings nearby.
The four gunmen fled in a blue Nissan Tsuru, which police are still trying to locate.
Another of the events was reported at 22 hours, in Region 259, block 13, lot 1, house 84, Las Palmas neighborhood, where
subjects shot an individual who was transferred to the General Hospital by an ambulance of the Red Cross.
At 22:30 hours, 911 reported detonations of a firearm, in front of an address that is located at number 32 of the avenue
Lombardo Toledano, block 66, Region 231. Police found tyhere six .380 shell casings and a gate had two bullet impacts.
To end the day of violence, at 22:40 hours firearm detonations were reported at the premises called “Micheladas Tío Toño”, located on Avenida Kabah, block 52, Region 229.
Subjects shot at a person inside the premises, who was injured in the abdomen, and paramedics of the Red Cross transferred the victim to the General Hospital.
