Wyndham Garden Hotel at mega tourism complex Playa Car was the site of the General Meeting of Merida’s International Lions Club, where Orencio Rojas and his wife Elsy Noemy received an award for their outstanding collaboration with the Club….
PLAYA DEL CARMEN – Few international organizations have a participation among the Yucatecan society like the International Lions Club, which has a huge representation in the whole zone integrated by the states of Yucatán, Campeche, Quintana Roo, Chiapas, Tabasco and Oaxaca.
On this occasion TYT got exclusive access to the Club General Work Meeting in which the award for the most valuable members was presented. This is an honor usually reserved for governors of the whole region integrated by the aforementioned states.
Honored for his 35 years of service in the Lions Club, Rojas Arjona thanked his family and friends and partners in the Leonism (reference to belonging and acting to and for the Lions’ Club), and ended his acceptance speech with the following phase:
“The Leonism isn’t just when we meet in our Club or when we are among our friends or participating in club’s activities. We must express the Leonism in every moment we have, and carry it on in our hearts and minds,” he said.
After the awards ceremony, the general meeting continued their other activities as usual among an environment of friendship and cordiality, in the beautiful city of Playa del Carmen.
TYT sends its congratulations to Mr. Orencio Rojas Arjona and his wife Elsy Noemy Sosa Nuñez de Rojas, for being honored with this important prize and wishes them health and a long life.
