In this regard the president of the CANACO Merida, Juan José Abraham Daguer, remarked that during the month of December, this product presents a rise in consumption due to the end-of-year celebrations that take place in homes and businesses, a situation that favors merchants that supply liquors and services, because at the end of the year traders always have good sales.

Thus, the Secretary of State Health authorized that the five Sundays of December, 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, the sale of alcoholic beverages in closed containers in the self-service stores and beer depots was extended five hours, and it went from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., he said.
