MÉRIDA, Yucatán.- The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) reports that the woman found dead on public roads on January 29th in an an empty los of the Chan Chocholá community, municipality of Maxcanú, is R.C.L.M., 26 years old.
The identification of the corpse was possible thanks to the research carried manually by agents of the Institute of Forensic Sciences of the FGE and agents of the State Investigation Police (PEI), who through dactyloscopy tests and subsequent comparison with several databases, were able to confirm the identity of the woman.
Data from the investigation indicates that Mrs. R.C.L.M. was originally from Macuspana, Tabasco, she weighed 65 kilograms and was 1.45 meters tall. The data was obtained thanks to the joint work carried out between the Yucatecan authorities of public security and law enforcement with their counterparts from different states to whom their collaboration was requested to carry out the investigations.
In this regard, the FGE, through the corresponding Investigative Prosecutor’s Office, has told the authorities to locate the woman’s relatives and that they can go to the facilities of the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) to carry out the official identification of the body so that they can continue with the procedure of law.
On this case, the alleged perpetrator of the crime of femicide of Mrs. R.C.L.M. was linked to the process on February 6 and will remain in preventive detention unitl the proper authorities determine his legal status.
