The Secretariat of Economic Development (Sefoe), through the Office of Support for Women Entrepreneurs, organized the event “Successful Woman, International Women’s Day”, with the participation of Mexican writer and lecturer Gabriela Vargas Guajardo, better known as Gaby Vargas.
“We had to honor this date with a strong female presence in the national and international scene. Her keynote speech aims to motivate and encourage your professional potential, in order to boost your human, social, economic and business development, “said the head of the SEFOE, Ernesto Herrera Novelo.
In front of businesswomen and professionals, the official recalled that the General Assembly of the United Nations proclaimed 1975 as the International Year of Women, having as an immediate antecedent the Declaration for the Elimination of Discrimination against Women of 1967. After that, March 8 was designated International Women’s Day.
For its part, the director of Support for Women Entrepreneurs, Ana Eugenia Sansores Bernese, said that “Yucatan is the birthplace of brave social fighters, as brave as the housewife, who day by day faces her responsibilities with the same fierceness that she defends a vote at the ballot boxes or demands respect for her family and her gender. ”
“Whether in science, in business, in culture or working out in the fields, there will always be women of whose performance we feel proud of and that inspire us to seek our wholeness,” she added.
The image and communication consultant, Gaby Vargas, also shared with the attendees some of the ideas that are reflected in her most recent publication entitled “The 15 secrets to rejuvenate”, in which she addresses the molecular description of telomeres and telomerase, and the relationship they have with health, age, physical appearance and well-being.
She explained that in recent years she has devoted herself to study the relationship between mind, body and emotions. “When you are in inner harmony, you have better mental clarity, better health, better energy, and science increasingly recognizes this relationship,” he said.
The First Magistrate of the Superior Court of Justice, Ligia Aurora Cortés Ortega; the president of the Permanent Commission of Gender Equality of the State Congress, María Ester Alonzo Morales and the federal representative Zácil Moguel Manzur were also present at the event.
The presidents of the Mexican Association of Entrepreneur Women of Yucatan (AMMEYUC), Lorena Gamboa Sosa; Carmen Cardeña Ojeda, of the Mexican Association of Entrepreneur Women (AMMJE) Yucatan Chapter, and Eneyda Medrano Rivero of the Yucatecan Women’s Business Association (AFEY) also attended the lecture.
