On Tuesday April 3, a woman armed with a 9-millimeter handgun entered the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California, during lunchtime.
She found a courtyard where employees were eating, and she began shooting, injuring three people before killing herself. One of the victims remains in critical condition.
The suspected shooter, who California police identified as 39-year-old Nasim Najafi Aghdam of San Diego, California, was a long-time YouTube user and accused the video-sharing site of discriminating and filtering her videos to cut her earnings. Her father said she “hated” the company, and that she told her family that she was going “to do something about it”.
