Number of tourists in Valladolid increases during the summer holidays

With the start of the summer holidays, the tourist flow starts to grow in Valladolid, especially national tourism. Visitors can be seen all over the place, shopping and dinning at Valladolid’s Bazaar, and at other sites of interest in the city, especially the Cenote Zací, where the local artisans who sell their merchandise in that place are reporting good sales.

Although, there’s a rumor among the artisans, of dissatisfaction with the monthly payment made by the City Treasury and that the new administration has withdrawn. And when interrogated about the case, nobody talks about it, apparently because they were asked not to provide any information to the media on this situation.

More tourists arrive

When it comes to foreign tourists, they are still passers-by, most going to the archaeological site of Chichen Itza, so they spend only a few minutes in the center of the city (not even an hour), walk in the park, take some photos of the temple of San Servacio, and then they get back on their bus and continue their way to Chichen Itza.

However, national tourists are arriving in larger numbers, they are eating in the Bazaar and then they visit other point of interest, such as the Historical Center, the former convent of San Bernardino de Siena, some go directly to the Cenote Zací, and enjoy swimming in the waterhole, and some others even spend two or three nights at the local hotels and B&Bs.
