Sergio becomes a category 4 hurricane off the Mexican Pacific coast

The National Meteorological Service reported that #Sergio” the new weather phenomenon was located 1,410 kilometers south-southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, and away from Mexican territory.

Hurricane Sergio reached category 3 on Tuesday Oct. 2, while moving away from the Mexican coast, reported the National Meteorological Service (SMN).

Sergio is located 1,410 kilometers south-southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, with sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour (kmh), gusts of 225 km / h and an advance to the west at 20 km / h.

The SMN indicated that the hurricane will not affect Mexico.
