Apparently, family conflicts over money issues were the cause of the brutal murder and beheading of two elderly people in the municipality of Temozón, Yucatán.
According to the data collected, the son of the couple of 89 and 79 years of age, cut the tracheal rings and the jugular of his father and slaughtered his mother with a knife.
The Office of the Attorney General of the State has already opened an investigative folder to take the presumed responsible to the Control Judge of Valladolid under the charges of qualified homicide.
So far the suspect has not been located and security elements continue the search to interrogate him, since his blood and fingerprints were found in the crime scene.
At first it was thought that it could be a robbery, but after the investigations it was announced that no personal belongings were missing.
After receiving the notice from the municipal police authorities about the discovery of two bodies in Temozón, officers of the Institute of Forensic Sciences moved to that municipality in eastern Yucatan, where they conducted the proceedings to legally pick up and transfer the bodies to the facilities of the SEMEFO, in Mérida.
According to the investigations the son of the couple is an alcoholic, and he recently had a strong argument with his parents, apparently the suspect claimed that he had not been given an economic inheritance. According to witnesses the suspect became violent andhis brothers had to intervene in defense of their parents.
