“Muraleando” promotes young talent in Valladolid

In order to promote healthy coexistence and urban art among the youth of Valladolid, Yucatán;, young painters expressed their artistic talent during the event “Muraleando“.

As part of the project to recover public spaces through urban art, implemented by the Valladolid’s City Council, the muralists created colorful art pieces in the Parque del Águila.

With a sports theme, these local artists from Valladolid painted the walls around the park with different colors, styles and techniques.

Anghelo Nunez, Cromwell Escalante Santoyo, Gerardo Rodrigo Medina and Gilberth Ct Art received recognition for their participation and thanked the space provided by the City Council to translate their works.

On behalf of mayor, Enrique Ayora Sosa, councilor Elva Cárdenas Rivero, congratulated the artists for the work they do to develop art through the murals.

Among the attendees were Alejandro Balam, Coordinator of Youth Affairs, Elena Sánchez Azcorra, Director of Human Development, and the Coordinator of Sports Promotion, Alfredo Cepeda.

All the material used by the artists was provided by the City Council.
