The objective of this event, which is carried out for the sixth consecutive year, is to raise funds for Cinco Patas, A.C., which will be used to pay a debt of 165,000 pesos to the veterinarian who supports them with care for rescued dogs and cats.

Gabriela Romero Solís, president of Cinco Patas, A.C., indicated that this year they joined forces with Humanimals to make a bigger event.

She recalled that Cinco Patas is an association that seeks to combat animal abuse, promote the education of canine and feline rescue, veterinary care for these stray animals, temporary homes and adoption. And stressed that the community is already more aware of animal adoption and that Cinco Patas, A.C., handles one hundred dogs per year.

Azalia May Ceballos, vice president of Cinco Patas, offered details of the contest that will be hosted by Tony Nusa, radio announcer and king of the last edition of the Mérida Carnival.

To participate in the contest the pet must be sociable and not be in heat.
