The tourist sites of Progreso and Uxmal, will be a priority for the Board of Cultural and Tourism Services Units of Yucatan (Cultur), said its director, Mauricio Díaz Montalvo.
He added in a statement, that the Ministry of Tourism of the State and Cultur will work very strongly and in a coordinated manner in those two areas during the first 100 days of the current administration.
In time, Governor Mauricio Vila will present what we hope will be the tourist project for Progreso and Uxmal, which includes a substantial improvement of the light and sound show specifically for Uxmal.

We also visited “El Corchito”, which is under the responsibility of Cultur, where a large economic resource will be invested during 2019 to offer more attractive tourism activities for national and international visitors alike.

“On the Puuc route we are also going to work very hard, since it is a very important area that represents much of the culture of our ancestors and has not been promoted as much as other archeological sites, he said.
“We want to implement a strong tourist promotion in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism,” he stressed.
