A Sunday family trip ended in tragedy on November 25, when a young man lost his life when entering the “Laguna Azul” aguada in the Santa Isabel neighborhood in Kanasín, Yucatán.
It was reported that the now deceased was with other members of his family consuming alcoholic beverages in Kanasin’s Calle 80 behind the housing area, at a given time the young man who was drunk, decide to go for a swim in the aguada and ended up losing his life.
The man, unidentified, was approximately 22 years old.
The relatives tell that when they realized that the victim was not coming out of the water, they began to look for him but, as they were not successful, they notified the emergency services and the police.
Upon arrival the polce officers found him lifeless. The body was taken to the SEMEFO by the staff of the Attorney General’s Office for the diligence of law.
