The City of Mérida officially presented on Monday November 26th, the tenth edition of The Noche Blanca to be held on Saturday, December 8, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., with a program that will include 866 artists and 180 activities, in 106 different venues.
The program will include musical shows, dance, theater, gastronomy, among others, with a special touch of circus and scenic arts, by local, national and foreign artists.
Some shows that you can enjoy will be
- A * Live is Christmas, by the company Circo Dragón
- Icarus, by Daniele Finzi Pasca
- Lux, show of circus, theater and music, by the company Ilai
- The Mystery of the circus where nobody heard anything, from the Compañía de Teatro Seña y Verbo
- Our Frida, with the performance of Ofelia Medina, among others.
Circus atmosphere
Mérida mayor Renán Barrera Concha led the presentation of the Noche Blanca, in an act that took place in the central courtyard of the Olimpo Cultural Center, with members of the artistic community and municipal and state officials, in a circus setting.
The mayor stressed that it will be the first time that the Secretary of Culture and the Arts will offer full support to the Noche Blanca and that they will have the participation of the Scouts Association of Mexico, with traditional games, in parks.
Program with a cause
The mayor indicated that the program will have a cause and will collect blankets, through the Municipal DIF and exhorted to go dressed in white, to the activity, in which restaurants will offer discounts and “artistic” special menus.
Irving Berlin Villafaña, Director of Culture of the Municipality indicated that in the coming days the program will be announced in detail.
