Family and friends of Patsy Berenice Estrada, started a search as she has been disappeared for 14 days and fear for her life.
The last time they had information about her was on December 12 when she was going to visit her children in the town of Dzununcán, about 10 miles south of downtown Mérida.
Friends of the woman, 34 years old, fear that something bad could’ve happened to her, they suspect that her former sentimental partner could be related to her disappearance.
Since that day the woman has not communicated with friends to a family member, a situation they describe as strange and totally unusual.
Also, her cell phone rings off and on her social networks have not had activity for days.
“It’s as if the earth had swallowed her, she is not like that at all,” said Melissa Beitya, friend of the missing girl.
The woman, who used to work for a private security company in Mérida, is described as 1.55 meters tall, robust with curly black hair.
According to Candy Vargas, Patsy is divorced with three children, and two years ago she started a relationship with a truck driver from the State of Mexico. However, because of the constant mistreatment, insults and beatings the woman decided to leave the man.
According to friends of the missing woman, her ex-husband is constantly sexually harassing her. Apparently, the man used to threaten her that he was going to take her children away from her, unless she accepted to have sex with him.
The last time Patsy was seen, she was precisely heading to her ex-husband’s house to visit her children. According to her friend’s testimony, she was carrying about four thousand pesos in cash among her belongings.
