Progreso Mayor Julián Zacarías Curi, accompanied by officials of the current administration toured the city on the occasion of the 100 days of Municipal Government. As the mayor walked the streets of the “Ciénega 2000” neighborhood, a total of 165 petitions of residents were recieved.
“The Municipal President has not disappointed me and my family, proof of this are his personal visits at the door of our homes, no other mayor had done this before,” said Mrs. Maria Ricalde Medina.
Mayor Julián Zacarías Curi, accompanied by his wife, the President of the Municipal DIF, Alma Gutiérrez Novelo, informed the citizens about the high quality Public Services that will be provided by Progreso’s City Hall during the 2018-2021 term.
Actions such as road improvement, garbage collection using more efficient trucks, cleaning and maintenance of public roads, programs for pets’ spay and neuter, the creation of a animal hospital and shelter, have been mentioned by Zacarías Curi.
However, the main topic tight now is the improvement of the potable water service. According to the mayor, the supply problem was addressed and solved during the first quarter, the modernization of the supply network through more efficient pumps and the implementation of the program “Borrón y Cuenta Nueva” (Start from scratch), to help those citizens who are late in their water supply payments.
All petitions and suggestions are sent to the respective authorities and corresponding departments in order to take action on the matter as soon as possible.
“I appreciate your patience and your support to this administration, which I have the honor to preside, these will be the best 3 years in the history of Progreso; we are working every day full time to meet these objectives, “said Julian Zacarias Curi.
