Mexico will host one of the most important solar industry events in the Americas, where multinational companies will come to exhibit their products and venture into new technology opportunities for the sector.

The Solar Power Mexico fair will bring leading companies in the field of photovoltaic technology and supplies for the sector that will offer solutions from China, the United States, and Europe, said Hannover Fairs, a subsidiary of Duetsche Messe, a fair organizer from Germany.

Sarah Möller, spokesperson for the event, said that several companies had already registered for the event, which will be held from March 19 to 21. “The pre-registration process for professionals in the sector who wish to attend the exhibition is now open at the Solar Power web address. The pre-registration for conferences and workshops will open as of January 2019,” he said.

It should be noted that photovoltaic solar energy in Mexico has grown at a rate of 36 percent per year in the last 10 years, and it is expected to increase its solar capacity by 5,400 MW between this year and 2019. Federal projections indicate that electricity generation with solar technology will increase in Mexico at an average annual rate of 29.3 percent to settle at 150 thousand 618 GWh in 2031 and gain market share within the energy matrix.

With this at hand, Solar Power Mexico will be one of the most important exhibitions in the sector, organized by Deutsche Messe of Germany, Sunshine Energy International Limited of China, as well as the US Solar Power International (SPI). Sarah Möller stressed that it is the right time to bring the Solar Power fair to the country, given the dynamism with which the adoption of photovoltaic technology in the national territory is growing.

“This fair will be the most important that has been carried out in the national territory; We are anticipating the participation of at least 100 exhibitors from the United States, China, and Europe, as well as from Mexico and Latin America,” she said.
