This year, the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival, in its 16th edition and which brings together nearly 50 media outlets from Mexico, the United States and Canada, is dedicated to women artists, giving them a greater stage presence and highlighting their talent in jazz, soul, funk and Caribbean and Latin American rhythms.
Governor Carlos Joaquin has reoriented public policies to consolidate Quintana Roo as a regional tourist power, to provide services to a population, such as the Riviera Maya, which is growing at an accelerated rate, up to 30% per year.
The director of the Tourism Promotion Council of Quintana Roo, Darío Flota Ocampo, declared that the Jazz Festival of the Riviera Maya is one of the columns of the tourist promotion of this part of the State. “It means for the Riviera Maya presence in the specialized media for more than 8 months of the year, since the cast is announced, during the realization of the event and still a month or two later when they still appear in the media that covers this festival,” he declared. .
“According to the most recent study made on return of investment ROI, the Jazz Festival has a presence in international specialized media in tourism and music, which is equivalent to almost 6 times the value of the investment,” he explained.
This festival, which takes place in the traditional Mamitas Beach, in Playa del Carmen, lasts three days, investing 18 million pesos and aims to boost the positioning of the Riviera Maya, and the state of Quintana Roo, as a cultural and artistic destination.
