The suspects started throwing stones at the police officers in an attempt to escape, and one of the individuals, Apolinar G. C., 30 years old, attacked the agents with a machete, so one of them had to use his weapon to defend himself against the imminent attack, shooting the agressor in the right leg.
The other two detainees are José David and Marcos Antonio G. C., 28 and 19 years old, respectively, brothers of Apolinar, all of whom reside in that same municipality.
In the incident, three state policemen were lacerated and bruised due to the attacks.
When detained, the thieves were carrying a two-burner stove, a jigsaw and other carpentry tools, that were they stole from the property located on Calle 12-B (between 7 and 9) of the aforementioned town.
