The “Semana Santa” begins with one fatal car accident, in what would be the fourth road accident so far in the Easter holidays.
The driver of the Chevy with ZBX-006-A license plates was traveling on Periférico from South to North, when it reached kilometer 24.5 of that road, where she lost control of the car and went out of the road.
Apparently, the motorist was about to climb the bridge and changed her mind at the last minute, which caused the vehicle to overturn, colliding with a post from the Federal Electricity Commission. The driver died on the spot.
The accident occurred a few meters away from the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) base, which agents arrived moments after the impact.
Firefighters and paramedics also arrived on site, but there was nothing to be done, since the driver had already died.
As part of the protocol, they proceeded to secure the area to wait for the ministerial authorities and the staff of Semefo to lift the body.
