CONKAL – On the early morning hours of Friday April, 12th, the body of a woman lying on the side of the Tekat-Conkal road was found (about 12 miles north of Mérida), but until now the causes of death are unknown.
Motorists who passed by the site saw the body, around 7 o’clock in the morning and immediately notified the 911 emergency number.
The corpse was lying on one side of the central ridge, from East to West, just a few meters from a recently opened business dedicated to the sale of fireworks.
Municipal police officers of Conkal and the Ministry of Public Security cordoned off the area, waiting for the experts of the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) to arrive, pick up the body and initiate the corresponding investigations.
Conkal is 17 kilometers (10 miles) north of Mérida (INEGI)
