Kanasín, Yucatán.- On Wednesday May 8, a video was posted on social networks showing three subjects murdering a dog that apparently killed some of their roosters.
According to the report, these individuals are engaged in cockfighting and a stray dog entered their property and killed several of their birds.
These criminals caught the dog, wrapped a rope around its neck and strangled it to death in the middle of the street while they were being recorded with cell phones by other Kanasín residents.
Without caring about being caught in video, these delinquents dragged and exhibited the animal in front of everybody, ignoring the presence of children and leaving the dead dog’s body lying on the sidewalk.
After the video went viral on social networks, residents of Kanasín asked for caution, as they claim that these individuals have threatened to kill all the stray dogs that pass through their house, and stating that this is not the first time these guys commit such an act.
The citizens of Kanasín demand the prompt intervention of the authorities, and they request to punish those responsible, besides the fact that cockfighting is prohibited in the state of Yucatan.
