For the third time during his term, the President of Mexico will conduct a work tour in Yucatecan lands, he is expected to visit the municipalities of Merida and Valladolid on Saturday June 22, according to state government sources.
The president will visit the state to deliver the Welfare Cards to beneficiaries of different social programs. These type of benefits are intended for the vulnerable population of the state.
According to information obtained by La Jornada Maya, it is expected that the first act headed by the President will be held at the Siglo XXI Convention Center, before they begin remodeling it for the tourist tianguis of Mérida 2020.
Later, AMLO will travel to Valladolid, a municipality located east of Yucatan, where the mayor is a member of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), the political party Lopez Obrador founded in 2014.
Last time the president came to Yucatán was during the Binational Summit of the United States of America Chamber of Commerce with the Business Coordinating Council of Mexico last April and then he headed to an event in Ticul.
