Authorities from Yucatán point out that they are managing projects with a gender perspective, human rights and intercultural approach.
“Through proper training and strengthening of tools for people working to eradicate violence against women, the Government of Yucatán complies with the tenets of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”, said the head of the General Secretariat of Government (SGG), María Fritz Sierra.
At the closing of the workshop “Education for peace, transformation of conflicts, breaking the cycles of violence”, the Yucatán official stated that these efforts are part of the 16th point of this international initiative, which seeks peace, justice and solid institutions.
“Our Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal is committed to guarantee inclusive, equitable and quality education, to promote learning opportunities and improve education, with a special focus on peace issues. Likewise, we are managing projects for Yucatan with a gender perspective, human rights approach and interculturality”.
“I am sure that the knowledge acquired today will reinforce and multiply, to give good results in the eradication of this scourge in Yucatan and contribute in a more effective way in the promotion of that noble goal,” said Fritz Sierra.
