The yacht “Searay Sundancer” ran aground on the Alacranes Reef, where it hit the rocky area, causing a hole in the hull of the 47-foot-long ship.

The report of the grounding was received via radio on Monday July 22 at dawn, but apparently the accident occurred on Sunday evening.

The crew of the yacht is well and the maneuvers have already been carried out to rescue the luxurious boat, which sailed out of the Yucalpeten marina on Saturday July 20.

There are reports that the Profepa and elements of the Mexican Navy in Alacranes had knowledge of the incident, and are already conducting investigations to apply the corresponding measures in terms of safety and environmental control.
