In compliance with an arrest warrant for homicide, Yucatan ministerial police officers arrested José Luis CY, who is reported to have executed a man in Cancun in November 2017.
The detainee was transferred to Cancun, where his defense requested the extension of the constitutional term of 72 hours, so it will be in the next few days when his legal situation is defined.
The State Attorney General’s Office reported that agents of the Yucatan Investigation Police arrested José Luis C.Y., age 36, of Teya, Yucatan, in compliance with an arrest warrant for the crime of homicide in the first degree.
The detainee was handed over to ministerial agents of the municipality of Benito Juárez (Cancún), Quintana Roo, where he placed under custody of the jurisdictional authority there.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, after being transferred to Cancun, the accused was presented before a Control Judge and during the imputation hearing, the defense requested the extension of the constitutional term of 72 hours, so it will be in the next few days when his legal situation is defined.
The homicide occurred on November 10, 2017, when the lifeless body of a man was found in Cancun’s Colonia El Jordan. The body of a mand identified as Jesús Antonio H.R., 25 years old, was found with 11 gusnshots to the chest, neck and back.
Because of this, the Public Prosecutor’s Office opened the investigation file 382/2017 for the crime of homicide in the first degree, and after almost two years, the alleged murder was finally arrested in the state of Yucatán.
