For the remainder of 2019, Mérida will offer several top quality events, among which the “Otoño Cultural”, the “Festival de las Animas” and “La Noche Blanca” stand out. And now, the exhibition “Picasso, genius of the Arts” has been announced to open in the “White City”, featuring several works of art by the famous Spanish painter.
At a press conference in Mexico City, Mérida Mayor Renán Barrera Concha indicated that it will be the first time that these Picasso works are exhibited on this side of the Atlantic, in addition that Mérida will be the first city in the country to receive them.
So far, the exhibition venue has not been announced yet, but more than 93 unique works are expected to arrive.
The opening of this exhibition will be on December 14 within the framework of the 12th edition of “La Noche Blanca” and will remain on display until March 30th, 2020.
Of course “La Noche Blanca” includes more than 115 shows featuring more than 220 artists, in approximately 100 different venues across the state capital.
