“The Maya Train project will be an important factor that will contribute to further potentiating the economic dynamics of Yucatan and will boost social development, while becoming an attraction for investment and tourism”, said Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal during the presentation of the First phase of public consultations on this plan, on Wednesday Nov. 27.
“The Maya Train fully adds to our efforts to transform Yucatan, it will help attract investment and tourism, and the state will come to get consolidated in both areas, we support the project and are in the best disposition to become facilitators,” said Vila Dosal from the International Congress Center of Yucatan (CIC).
Similarly, the Governor declared that the Yucatecans have a good impression about the project, and also agree that it will trigger and generate economic and social development in the state. Vila Dosal said he recognizes the Federal government’s commitment to turn Southeast Mexico into a benchmark for competitiveness in the country.
“With the Maya Train we have the great possibility to access millions of tourists who arrive everyday in Cancun and the Riviera Maya, and bring them into Yucatecan territory in an easier, faster, more comfortable means of transportation,” said Vila Dosal.
Bottom line… The Yucatan state government strongly supports the Maya Train project and ensures that it will be of great benefit to the local economy.
