License plates for privat cars and vans in Yucatan will cost 1,673 pesos (including registration). This is 532.38 pesos more expensive than in Campeche, and 426 pesos more expensive than in Quintana Roo.
Campeche
The Campeche government announced on Tuesday Jan. 7th, the new fees for the period 2020-2022. Guadalupe Cárdenas Guerrero, Secretary of Finance of Campeche, reported that the right to pay includes the set of license plates, sticker and Tarjeta de Circulación (Mexican version of “registration“).
The prices announced by the Campeche official are the following: $ 1,140.62 for private service and local public service cars, private service and local public service cargo trucks, private or public service passenger and service passenger buses; $ 380.20 for motorcycles, and $ 1,689.80 for car demonstration plates.
Quintana Roo
In Quintana Roo, the rates are: $ 1,141 for cars and private vans; $ 380 for motorcycles, and $ 528 for trailers, to which are added $ 106 peso (general payment) for the Tarjeta de Circulación (Mexican version of “registration“).
In both neighboring entities, these rates will be handled until the last day of the current month, since on February 1 the Inegi will announce the value of the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA) in force for the remainder of the calendar and the first month of 2021
On March 2, as announced by the Yucatan government, the replacement in the entity will begin, and the tuition fees will cost $ 1,673 ($ 1,369, license plates; $ 304, circulation card), for cars and trucks, and $ 557 ($ 456, license plate; $ 101 , circulation card), for motorcycles, from 350 cc.
In addition, the price of the new sheets increased 62.7% with respect to the rates handled in the 2017 process; that year, owners of cars and trucks for private use paid $ 841 (plus $ 252 for the circulation card: a total of $ 1,093) against the $ 1,369 established for this calendar by the administration of Mauricio Vila Dosal (plus $ 304 for the card).

- Valid official identification with photo (original and copy)
- Proof of address (no more than 90 days old)
- Original and copy of the insurance policy in force
- Give back the 2017 plates
Your current license plates are valid until March 1, 2020.
