Mérida, Yucatán, (October 29, 2021) .- Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal reported that people over 18 years of age who, for some reason, have not received any vaccine against the Coronavirus, can go to any module where it is being applied to receive your corresponding dose.
In the presence of the head of the Yucatán Health Secretariat (SSY), Mauricio Sauri Vivas, and the state coordinator for Covid-19 Vaccination, Corvette Captain Carlos Gómez Montes de Oca, Vila Dosal asserted that the vaccine is safe and that the 2,300,000 that have been applied throughout the state, there has not been a single serious reaction.
He also thanked the Mexican Army, the Issste, the Mexican Navy, the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), the SSY and the Ministry of Welfare, for the coordinated work that is being carried out in this process, so that everything is carry out in an agile and orderly manner.
On the subject of back to school, Vila Dosal indicated that the numbers show that the protocols applied together with teachers and parents are appropriate, so that parents can be sure that it is safe for their children to return to school.
“It is very important that, little by little, the children begin to return to classes, because we have detected that, practically, 30% of the students have a significant lag, since, during the virtual classes, some could not connect because they did not have a computer or a good interaction with the professors ”, stated the Governor.
On Saturday, October 30th, second doses of AstraZeneca will be applied to people between 18 and 29 years old, in the municipalities of Tekantó, Tecoh, Cuncunul, Kaua, Dzemul, Xocchel, Teya, Suma, Quintana Roo, Tahmek, Mama, Tunkás, Mocochá and Dzoncauich; This October 28th and 29th, from 18 to 29 years old and from 30 to 39 years old, in Chicxulub Pueblo, Mayapán, Río Lagartos, Telchac Pueblo, Chaksinkín and San Felipe.
During his tour of the Issste Susulá module, Vila Dosal verified the work carried out in its various areas, in complete order and with a good influx of people. There, was Elsy Aguilar Poot, who thanked her 17-year-old son Carlos, already having the first dose, since he has suffered from epilepsy since he was 11 years old, a disease that puts his well-being at risk.
