Chetumal, Quintana Roo, (December 20, 2021).- During the early hours of this Friday, December 17, the unpleasant finding of a corpse floating in the sea was reported to the 911 emergency number.
Immediately, paramedics from the UREM, the municipal police, and the Forensic Medical Service ( Semefo ) quickly came to cordon off the area.
According to preliminary information, there were some athletes who were passing in front of the clock on the esplanade when they saw the body of the male.
The rescuers removed the body from the water and placed it on the hearse to transport it to the municipal morgue.
First reports indicate that it would be a subject known by the nickname of “El Saborinero”, however, the identity of the now-deceased is still unknown.
The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) is already investigating whether the subject died by accident or if someone killed him and left him in the water.
After performing the legal necropsy, his body will be handed over to his relatives for burial.
