Mérida, Yucatán, (December 21, 2021).- The president of the local delegation of the National Chamber of Commerce in Small (CANACOPE), Jorge Cardeña Licona declared that the small business expects an economic spill of 5 billion pesos during this holiday season that has started well for the members of the group.
He added that there are very good sales in the first days of December, and they will have more income during the festivities of Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year, taking advantage of the fact that there is no longer a vehicle or citizen restriction.
Cardeña Licona mentioned that there will be a high demand for bottled soft drinks, ice bags, snacks, cold meats, napkins, glasses, plates, pears, apples, grapes, as well as traditional cider, and other alcoholic beverages such as beers during these Christmas celebrations.
He recalled that unfortunately, in 2020 some merchants did badly because there was a vehicle restriction, there were no family celebrations at Christmas and the New Year due to high infections and deaths from the coronavirus in the State.
Finally, Cardeña Licona pointed out that we should not lower our guard either, we must continue to take care of the global health pandemic because there are still some infections and deaths, and although the disease is on the decline, it is still very dangerous and contagious for what it is It is necessary to continue wearing masks and maintain distance between one person and another during the Christmas holidays.
