Ovidio Guzmán, son of drug trafficker Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, allegedly ordered the murder of a famous Mexican singer who refused to perform during his wedding.
(United States – State Department) According to information published by U.S. authorities, Ovidio Guzmán ordered the murder of a singer, whose name was not specified in the report, in addition to ordering the death of another drug trafficker and some informants.
For the moment, it is not known the identity of the related singer or if the murder took place; however, these possible links between artists and drug traffickers have been a very controversial issue for some years.
Some international media have linked many celebrities who allegedly participated in events organized by international drug traffickers.
The U.S. goes after “El Chapo’s” children.
A new executive order from Washington, issued on Wednesday, offers $5 million to arrest each of four of Guzmán’s sons as part of its strategy against international drug traffickers.
Ovidio Guzmán López, Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar and Joaquín Guzmán López, sons of “Chapo” – sentenced to life imprisonment in the United States – are part of a list of 25 targets related to the trafficking of synthetic opioids.
In October 2019, Lopez Obrador ordered the release of Ovidio Guzmán after an operation that had managed to capture him in Sinaloa, that detonated the reaction of “a greater force and all the deployment” of the criminal group.
