Mérida, Yucatán, (December 06, 2021).- As part of Mitsubishi Motors de México’s global architectural renovation plan, the brand’s facilities in Mérida, located in Prolongación Paseo de Montejo, were reopened this Thursday, Dec. 2nd.
The event also presented the new image of the brand at an international level, with which the complete remodeling of its offices in the Yucatecan capital was presented, as well as a new corporate symbol.
The formal ceremony was led by executives of the CER Group, with a ribbon-cutting in which authorities such as the mayor of Mérida Renan Barrera Concha participated, as well as senior executives of the brand; Engineer Marco Andueza Martínez and Guillermo Ancona Palomino, general director of the automotive distributor Grupo CER and general manager of Mitsubishi Motors Mérida.
It was reported that the brand has increased its sales by more than 50% compared to 2020, which were seriously affected by the economic crisis caused by Covid-19; however, the company is currently having a good time.
In his speech, Barrera Concha recognized the brand for its hard work and interest in continuing to invest in Mérida, generating more and more jobs and investments for the benefit of the meridians, in addition to mentioning that they have the support of the municipal government for future projects.
During the event, 700 vehicles that the rental company Hertz acquired for the renewal of its car fleet were also symbolically delivered. The Mitsubishi Agency will deliver Mirage G4 cars and Xpander Cross trucks to the lessor.
