Comuna announces that there will be permits for the sale of pyrotechnics in Mérida
MÉRIDA, Yucatán, (December 9, 2021) .- The sale of ‘bombitas’ (Firecrackers) in Mérida will be allowed this year and there will be permits for the merchants of these items, who will be able to offer them at various authorized points in the city and on specific dates.
As every year, many people acquire these fireworks to accompany the various festivities of the time and with the Green Epidemiological Traffic Light, this 2021 it will be allowed to trade these products in Yucatan.
This Wednesday, the municipal secretary of Mérida, Alejandro Ruz Castro, explained in an interview that they are already in coordination with the Sedena to grant permits.
“The Municipal Civil Protection Unit is already in talks with the Sedena to begin coordinating training courses for people who obtain permits to sell Christmas items,” he said.
We expect a greater demand for permits, he continued, because economic conditions are different and we are going to see what capacity we have to put those points in the city, especially in the first square and in the periphery.

The official pointed out that the Mérida City Council will carry out supervision and verification tours on the days authorized for the sale, which are:
