Three new flights come to the Mexican Caribbean before closing 2021

Quintana Roo, (December 16, 2021).- Before the end of 2021, three new flights will arrive in the Mexican Caribbean to successfully close the year and surpass more than 12 million visitors, announced the Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council (CPTQ).

Darío Flota Ocampo, director of the CPTQ, mentioned that Aeroméxico will start with the route from São Paulo, on December 15; on

18th of the same month, American Airlines will start from Philadelphia; while United Airlines will operate from Los Angeles.

The routes are in addition to the offer that is already available and will help to receive around 1.3 million visitors in the last two weeks.

“Air connectivity continues to strengthen mainly from the United States, and not only with Cancun but also with Chetumal, where the route with Miami was recently inaugurated. However, we already have connectivity with Baltimore, Boston, Columbus, Denver, Minneapolis and Raleigh”.

Currently, Quintana Roo has air connectivity with 82 cities in Europe, Canada, the United States, and Latin America.

For Cozumel, on December 11 a flight from Minneapolis through Sun country was inaugurated and it will be until April with two weekly frequencies.

“Remember that according to data from the Ministry of Tourism, we will have a close of the year with one million 300 thousand visitors , and that we continue with health security measures, arriving until December 14 with 2.2 million doses applied against the COVID-19″.
