Merida, Yucatan, (December 27, 2021).- The Municipal Police of Mérida reports a “white balance” during the security and road operation implemented on December 24 and 25.

Only three arrests are reported for a disturbance on public roads and one for driving while intoxicated.

The paramedic team provided care to eight people for minor injuries, without requiring transfers to a clinic.

Similarly, there was a traffic event without injuries, where the parties involved reached an agreement on the spot.

In another vein, in an operation implemented jointly by the Army, the National Guard, the Municipal Police, Municipal Civil Protection, and the Ministry of Public Security during December 22, 23, and 24, the posts of fireworks sale in order to verify that they have the corresponding permit and comply with the established security measures.

It should be noted that the objective of this joint operation, which will be reactivated again on December 29, 30, and 31, is to avoid accidents caused by the sale of fireworks.

Through a statement, the Municipal Police of Mérida thanked the civic behavior of the people who have come to the Historic Center these days, “which has allowed us to carry out the December operation adequately, with citizen participation.”
