Yucatán is one of the states with the greatest diversification and number of support programs for economic, entrepreneurial and business activities.
Mérida, Yucatán, (December 29, 2021) .- In the Government of Yucatan, through the Yucatecan Entrepreneur Institute (IYEM), more than 300 million pesos have been exercised to promote the ecosystem of entrepreneurship, business development and generate employment in Yucatán, serving more than 1,100 companies for the benefit of more than 80,000 people who are artisans, self-employed, micro-producers, entrepreneurs, and businesswomen.
In this sense, derived from the health contingency and to continue promoting the creation of business units that bring opportunities to a greater number of people, it was decided to take even more advantage of digital tools to continue supporting and training companies and promoting new projects that place the state as one of the entities with the best conditions to invest and do business.
“In these times, social media platforms have become a great ally for the access, implementation and delivery of the various programs and actions of the Institute, reaching more than 12 thousand participants in virtual training,” said the head of the IYEM , Antonio González Blanco.
The official highlighted that digital platforms have allowed to promote ideas and new business models, which have been part of the “State Centers for Entrepreneurs” program, which seeks to detect the talent that exists in the 106 municipalities and promote the ventures with strategies that allow their proper functioning to become profitable and transcendent.
In the same way, the “Transform your product” program was implemented with the aim of encouraging entrepreneurs and microentrepreneurs, in the procedures to obtain their barcode and nutritional tables, having designated a support bag of 650 thousand pesos, to benefit 25 firms that meet the requirements.
Among the benefits that were provided, are the support for the design or redesign of the logo, label and secondary packaging of the products, preparation of the nutritional table, processing of the barcode, costing, marketing, and sales advice.
“Entrepreneurship and business creation are vehicles that lead to a better quality of life and from the IYEM we are entering a stage of economic acceleration, working together so that Yucatán can take off,” the director of the Institute said.
Similarly, México Evalúa classified Yucatan as one of the states with the highest amount of resources allocated per inhabitant during this health emergency.
