14-year-old boy commits suicide in Chemax, Yucatan

An adolescent of just 14 years of age decided to end his short life by hanging himself in the municipality of Temax, Yucatan.

(CHEMAX, Yuc. – MUNICIPAL POLICE).- The events occurred this Tuesday, January 25th, when relatives of the minor, identified with the initials J.E.R.A., was found hanging from a tree in the mountains near his home.

In the place it was found that around 6:00 p.m., the adolescent went to the mountain that adjoins the patio of his house, located on Calle 22nd by 5th, to collect firewood.

The people who were in the area indicated that they saw him very active working, but in one of the laps he did not return.

Seeing that it was 9:00 p.m. and that he did not return, relatives went out in search of him, but unfortunately they found him lifeless hanging from a tree.

The young man’s mother said she did not understand, stating that her son was characterized by having a good mood, without vices, cheerful and helpful, so the reasons that led him to make this terrible decision are unknown.

Agents of the Municipal Police arrived at the place, who cordoned off the place waiting for the Semefo personnel to remove the body.
